About Optatus

Built to be better to work with.

Optatus is an appraisal management company with the reach of a national firm and the judgement of a local one.

Why Optatus

The hands-on part isn’t a feature. It’s the whole business.

Most appraisal management runs on volume and automation: an order drops into a queue, an algorithm hands it to whoever accepts first, and nobody involved has ever driven the street in question. We built Optatus the other way around.

Orders are assigned by a local manager who knows the appraisers by name and knows which of them is right for a 1920s bungalow, a new-build tract home, or a mixed-use building on a difficult corner.

That means fewer revisions, fewer surprises on turn time, and a conversation instead of a status page when something about a property is unusual. It is slower to scale and considerably better to work with.

What we stand for

Four things we will not compromise on.

01

Local judgement

Every assignment is matched by a manager who knows the appraisers by name and knows the market — not by software deciding based on proximity.

02

Named accountability

Every file has a person attached to it. You can call that person directly. They read the report before it reaches you.

03

Honest scoping

We tell you what we can do, how long it takes, and who is doing it before anyone commits. No surprises after the order is placed.

04

National reach

Offices are expanding state by state toward a full nationwide footprint — each desk staffed with people who already know the territory.

Company

History

The owner of Optatus, LLC is a military veteran (USAF), a dedicated and hardworking person who serves clients by inspiring, empowering, and giving them confidence through finding solutions to their real estate needs. Under the tutelage and leadership of a well-determined, trained, and united team of management staff, the business is expertly led by a committed person with over 30 years of leadership and mortgage experience.

Prior to HVCC he worked on the lending side as a loan officer, moving through the ranks at several lenders. (Wells Fargo, First Horizon Home Loans, Countrywide, and Chase).

After HVCC he helped create and run his first AMC taking the company to its peak success before it was sold in 2017.
